R44 Raven I / Clipper I

‘HARDWORKING’ IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. Powered by a Lycoming O-540 carbureted engine with carburetor heat assist that enhances safety and lowers pilot workload, the Raven I/ Clipper I comes at a lower price point — but fully embodies the dependability, practicality and value that Robinson is known for.

ABOUT THE R44 RAVEN I / CLIPPER I

It’s the perfect balance of cost and capability. A Lycoming O-540 carbureted engine with carburetor heat assist keeps operating expenses and pilot workloads low. The Raven I and Clipper I are built on an aluminum monocoque and powder-coated steel tube structure — providing a light and sturdy airframe, while an aerodynamic fuselage optimizes airspeed and fuel economy. Responsive handling is provided by hydraulically boosted controls that eliminate cyclic and collective feedback.A roomy cabin maximizes visibility for every passenger, and our two-bladed rotor system frees up hangar space upon landing.

Our patented Cyclic design offers increased safety, comfort and ease of operation for pilots:

  • Minimizes the risk of interference from passengers or objects in the cockpit.
  • Requires minimal physical effort to operate, reducing pilot fatigue during long flights.
  • Eliminates the need for dual independent controls, simplifying operation and reducing mechanical complexity

The Clipper I can be equipped with fixed-utility floats to provide an extra layer of safety for over-water operations. These floats remain fully inflated, add approximately 50 lbs to the aircraft’s empty weight and reduce cruise speed by approximately 10 knots.

ABOUT THE R44 UTILITY INTERIOR

The R44 Utility: Built for the Grind, Not Just the Flight

For decades, the Robinson R44 has been the industry’s undisputed multi-mission workhorse—reliable, versatile, and ready for anything. Now, we’ve made it even tougher with an all-new interior designed specifically for high-intensity, demanding operations. The R44 Utility is our direct response to years of operator feedback requesting a factory-delivered cabin capable of transitioning seamlessly from harsh environments to muddy agricultural and utility job sites.

We have engineered this aircraft for ruggedized performance by replacing traditional interior materials with components built to endure the elements. By favoring more resilient surfaces, the R44 Utility is prepared to perform under the constant pressure of heavy flight hours and diverse cargo. This is a cabin designed to be ‘worked hard’ and ‘cleaned easily.

Standard Features of the R44 Utility Interior:

The R44 Utility interior delivers ruggedized performance by replacing traditional fabric components with heavy-duty materials designed to be hosed down and wiped clean after a long day in the field. This mission-first design ensures the cabin can handle the grit, grime, and grease of industrial work without sacrificing any of the R44’s legendary flight characteristics. By choosing this configuration, you receive utility-grade toughness straight from the factory floor, providing a professional, durable solution that is ready for immediate deployment in the harshest environments.

* Utility Interior is available on all R44s, including Cadet, Raven I and Raven II

*Tactical Utility Exterior Paint Scheme is Optional

Explore its standard features:
TitanPlate Headliner
The traditional fabric headliner is replaced with TitanPlate, a durable, abrasion-resistant, textured coating designed to withstand the harshest conditions and doors-off missions
Durable Backwall
The rear wall fabric is replaced with black R-Force aviation-grade nylon, a high-intensity material built for extreme durability.
Washable, Heavy-Duty Seating
The new NXG-style modernized seat design, features black Muirhead leather bolsters paired with Camouflage Weave compound inserts. These materials are chosen specifically for severe wear-and-tear and can be easily washed clean after a day in the field.  New NxG Style seat shape.
Removable, Rubberized Floor Mats
Standard carpeting is replaced with lightweight, Robinson-branded rubberized floor mats. Engineered with positive retention, these mats are fully removable and washable, to spray away mud, and debris.
Tactical Accents
To complete the rugged aesthetic, the interior features accented Olive Green seatbelts.

Optional Features of the R44 Utility Interior:

Optional Equipment and specs are the same as other R44s EXCEPT:

  • Fabric Velour Seats/Standard Leather
